'World of Ramen' is a data visualization project created to inform people about the different ramen varieties and brands available all across the world. It is based on a dataset found on Kaggle known as Ramen Ratings. This set comes with a ramen bowl, a pair of chopsticks and a table mat. The bowl showcases a quantifiable world map of different ramen varieties available across different countries. The chopsticks showcase brand-wise data and the percentage availability of brands across the world. The table napkin acts as a key by showing the connection within the data as well as holding the index to the color coding of the entire piece.
The napkin also functions as a form of packaging for the 'Bowl Set'. This unique way of using the napkin is inspired by the traditional asian style of fabric gift wrapping. The motivation behind this packaging was to bring a human touch through hand wrapping within the rigid system of data visualization.
